My name is Andrea, I am Colombian, I come from Medellín, and when I decided to marry Antonio, who is Neapolitan, I immediately understood one thing: I would never have gotten married anywhere other than Naples.
Naples is not a city you choose for its looks or because it is fashionable. Naples slowly makes its way inside you, almost without you noticing. It lives in Antonio’s stories, in his way of believing, of loving, of getting angry and then laughing it off. It is a city that doesn’t try to be perfect, but real. And I, who come from an intense land like Colombia, felt at home there.

On our wedding day, I didn’t just want to celebrate a love, but to tell a story: ours. Two different worlds meeting and choosing to walk together. That’s why I thought deeply about the wedding favors as well. I know many people say they are no longer necessary. But to me, they mattered. Because they are the only thing that truly remains in other people’s hands once the music stops.

I didn’t want to give something that would end up forgotten in a drawer. I wanted to leave a mark—something that spoke about us, about Naples, about faith and protection. That’s how I chose to gift San Gennaro to our guests.

I chose the Blu Costiera Gift Box because I didn’t want an ordinary wedding favor. I wanted something made by hand, with time, with respect for real things. Each box is different, just like love stories are. Inside, there is the work of master ceramic artisans, the Mediterranean, and that light that only the South knows how to hold.
And then there are the vegan body soaps. A simple choice, but an incredibly important one to me. Because that box was not meant to stay still on a shelf. It was meant to enter the everyday life of those who received it, to become part of an intimate, daily, real gesture. Not an object to look at, but a memory to live.
Perhaps wedding favors are no longer in fashion. But I believe that leaving something with a soul never will be. Our wedding in Naples was exactly this: a meeting between Medellín and Naples, between faith and love, between hands shaping ceramic and hearts choosing each other every day.
And if even just one person, looking at San Gennaro or opening that box, is taken back in their thoughts to that day… then I know I made the right choice.
Andrea
